I’m a photographer who focuses on authentic advertising, lifestyle, and portraiture. This newsletter is my outlet to let go and share thoughts, photographs, experiences and behind the scenes. If you are curious and have not subscribed yet, you can do now. It means the world to me! :)
In today's issue, I'm going to talk about a recent collaboration with YouTuber and photographer Teo Crawford, and the importance of collaboration in general. The photos in this issue were either taken by me or Teo, which I'll add for information. Teo's images are shot on Himalaya200 film with his trusty Pentax K1000, while I shot all the images with the Fujifilm x100V.
TEO CRAWFORD: PHOTOGRAPHER, YOUTUBER
Basically, I know Teo and his YouTube channel from the time when I was heavily into analogue photography and spent a lot of my spare time learning about the analogue process and photography in general on YouTube. Back then, Teo lived in another city in Austria and his channel was still rather small (today about 170k+), but there was something special about his videos that made me enjoy his channel a lot.
A few years later, when I moved to Tyrol and discovered one of his recent videos on YouTube, I wondered why the environment of the short films was so familiar to me.
Yes, I wrote "short films" on purpose. Teo studied filmmaking at university and it really shows. Each film is perfectly built around a story and his voice paired with the incredibly beautiful visuals and calm music is just a blast.
After digging deeper into his latest videos, I found out that he had moved to Innsbruck: yay! We met last year, talked for hours, and about a month ago, Teo asked me if I'm up to a hike, which will be the story for a new film he'll be releasing on his YouTube channel. Yes! Of course I said yes! Hiking, deep conversations, photography and hanging out in the incredible nature we are surrounded by - not much more I need to feel fully alive.
All the details about our hike and the time we spent are told in the film.
COLLABORATION
The reason I decided to follow my purpose and build a career around it was never just to make money. For me, the opportunities it gives me, my growth as a person, the people I get to meet and the collaboration with brands, individuals and other creatives are some reasons why I do what I do.
Collaboration is something special. Multiple ideas and unique visions coming together. Bundling skills. Reaching new people with the work you create together. Building relationships and trust.
When I think about it, collaboration is probably the reason I'm so excited about doing new projects and creating something new. It's essential to me.
With that being said, feel free to reach out if you have any idea, or you are willing to connect. Let’s see what the future holds.

Great. I discovered Teo a few weeks ago and watched then a lot of his videos and I especially liked the collab-ones he did lastly. Back in the blogging-days collaborations were the thing to advance in all different directions. Here I nearly forgot the beauty of them. Thanks for reminding!
