I’m a photographer who focuses on sports, lifestyle, and portraiture. This newsletter is my outlet to let go and share thoughts, photographs, experiences and behind the scenes. If you are curious and have not subscribed yet, you can do now. It means the world to me! :)
Suddenly it seems like personal projects and networking from the last years is paying off … kind of.
01 PERSONAL PROJECTS, ASSISTING, LEARNING, BUILDING A NETWORK
Let me start with some references to past newsletters where I have written about personal projects, assisting and building a network of creative minds to remind what potentially brought me to where I am now.
Eventually I just figured out that I’ve never written a newsletter about the project HOW I SEE: TRAIL-RUNNING, but you can see the finished series by following the link.
02 WORKING WITH ATOMIC AND PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES
In January 2024 ATOMIC reached out to me, and we talked about possibly working together on some smaller projects. I felt super honored to hear that my past work (mostly personal projects I talked about above) speaks to someone I really admire and look up to.
It was for sure like an injection of motivation that pushed me to continue going this path. During the year I realized new personal projects and was always on the hunt for steps which bring me forward in any sense.
It was the end of July when ATOMIC called again with something concrete in mind. For a new athlete announcement, the idea was to follow the ATOMIC Nordic rider Vinzenz Geiger on a casual summer training and capture both the action but also the character of the athlete.
Without going too much into detail, I want to tell you how I feel about the outcome and the production experience. First and foremost, I’m super happy how the project turned out, specially because the production itself was very intense, with a major time pressure. At location, we were first a small crew of 3 people, including the athlete manager and art director. We had about two hours to briefly scout the location and develop a plan for the shoot. When the athlete arrived, we first thought to have three hours of shooting but ended up with a maximum of two.
Thanks to the great art direction and the location scouting, we managed to get everything we aimed for done.
Would I have preferred to have more time to experiment and be creative — Yes.
Would I do anything different if I could do it again — Definitely no.
Do I love doing projects like this — Absolutely yes!
Am I happy with the help of the crew and the trust in myself — Oh god, yes!

03 WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS
Going into this winter season, I’m very grateful to continue the work with ATOMIC. Soon I can tell and show you more of what is coming.
Be sure to follow your dreams, and take good care of your health. It will serve you in the long run. :)
The best place to see my work is my website. Other places to find me are Instagram and LinkedIn.
